OREANDA-NEWS. On 8 September 2009 was announced, that Concern Stirol < STIR UZ U/R > is to produce five new types of high-impact polystyrene. Installed Company's polystyrene output is 12.5 kt per year. The plant is in test mode now. STIR is to соmpete with imported high-impact polystyrene, which share is almost 100% at local market. Management of the Company does not disclose the date of putting this plant into operation.

We see this news as POSITIVE. We should admit manufacturing of this type of products will diversify Stirol sales as well as reduce dependence of import gas prices.
