OREANDA-NEWS. September 07, 2009. The results of the first half-year 2009 were made public by Yury Klochkov, First Deputy Director General of KAMAZ Inc., at the meeting with the employees of the forge plant.

Similar meetings were regularly held in July at all KAMAZ enterprises. Their aim was to inform the personnel about crisis-management measures and to answer the employees’ questions.

Because of the crisis KAMAZ had to reconsider its costs. But everything is for the better: the production rate of the mother conveyor line at the automobile plant is growing, the procedure discipline has become stricter and corporative deliveries have become uninterrupted. This year the plants of KAMAZ-Metallurgy managed to reduce unfinished production stocks for 800 million roubles.

Klochkov confirmed that the production of a restyled cab for KAMAZ vehicles which had been shown at the exhibition “Construction Equipment and Technology-2009” in June would be mastered as it had been planned: in September a pilot batch of such cabs would be produced, and series production of modernized truck models would be launched in November.

Answering questions about the personnel policy of the company’s management, the KAMAZ top manager noted that the main purpose was to maintain human resources in order to be prepared to meet growing purchase requirements. “We don’t want to lose experienced workers who gained their high qualification at KAMAZ, - said Klochkov. In spite of the critical shortage of means, the task is to raise the average salary up to 12 thousand roubles.

This year the management failed to realize the European system of annual vacations provided to the personnel. But already next year all employees of the company will have rest in August. The corresponding order was signed by Director General and Chairman of the Labor Union Committee.

“The task of the managers and workers is to keep everything the company has achieved for the years of its active development and to maintain the KAMAZ trademark. We are sure that it will be fulfilled”, - said Yury Klochkov at the end of the meeting.
