Barnaul Citizens Sign Up for Dr.Web Anti-Virus Service
OREANDA-NEWS. On 4 September 2009 was announced, that the first deployment of Dr.Web AV-Desk in Altai Krai allowed more than 10 000 subscribers of the largest ISP in Barnaul to sign up for the Dr.Web anti-virus service.
Protection of customers’ interests is inconceivable without security of their computers. So provision of information security along with communication services becomes a common practice among ISPs. Inteleka is a Barnaul ISP that views protection of information security of its subscribers as one of its basic business principles. It chose Dr.Web AV-Desk as a solution equally attractive to customers and providers.
The more subscribers a provider has the harder it gets to support them. At the same time many technical issues that arise on user machines are caused by viruses. The Dr.Web anti-virus service now saves subscribers of Inteleka from viruses and spam. And it’s not only subscribers and their computers that benefit from introduction of the service. From now on the provider will always have a clear picture of anti-virus security of its network. Expenses for network repairing after virus attacks as well as attacks themselves become problems of the past.
“We are glad that in our time when the danger of getting infected may lie in wait virtually anywhere in the Internet we can provide our customers with an opportunity to defend themselves. Cooperation with Doctor Web is not only an important step forward for our company but also a significant event for our subscribers”, Dmitry Gorets, the business manager of Inteleka said.
