OREANDA-NEWS. September 03, 2009. Russian state-run financial corporation Vnesheconomobank plans to establish a special-purpose company to audit and supervise the funds it allocated, VEB Chairman Vladimir Dmitriev said after the supervisory board’s meeting.

“We have concluded that it is necessary to set up a special-purpose company to engage in reviewing project documentation, technological and financial audit and control over inappropriate and inefficient use of funds”, Dmitriev said. According to him, a company is to be created jointly with a foreign partner. Dmitriev went on to say that the list of potential partners is to be addressed at the next supervisory board’s meeting, but did not specify that date of the meeting.
