OREANDA-NEWS. September 2, 2009. OJSC North-West Telecom is offering a new functionality to all the users of the Avangard service in the Northwest Federal District – “Night Acceleration” that allows to increase the Internet access speed at night time.

The new functionality is provided to all the Avangard users having limitless plans with speed limitations and without any restrictions on the volume of downloads, except the economy type tariff plans.

The “Night Acceleration” switches on automatically with no extra charge.  The Internet access rate grows daily from 02:00 a.m. to 09:00 a.m. Moscow time, and from 01:00 a.m. to 08:00 a.m. local time for the Kaliningrad region residents.

For Avangard users connected to the Internet via ADSL the access rate increases:

- for incoming traffic – by 100% of the rate set forth in the existing tariff plan

- for outgoing traffic – up to 1 Mbit/sec.

For users with PON Internet access (Mega Avangard plans) the speed will grow by 5 Mbit/sec (both for incoming and outgoing traffic) in all tariff plans.
