OREANDA-NEWS. On 01 September 2009 was announced, that Belarus’ OAO Minsk Sparkling Wines Plant reported a 6% increase in production of sparkling wines in January-July 2009 to 635,000 decaliters, a source in the administration of the company told.

Champagne [a brand of sparkling wine] output accounted for 70% of the total.

Natural grape wine output shrank 14.3% to 48,000 decaliters.

Minsk Sparkling Wines Plant was established in 1978; it makes 80 varieties of beverages; annual output is estimated at 12 million bottles.
