OREANDA-NEWS. On 28 August 2009 EastWind Company, one of Russia’s leading software vendors, part of Sitronics Telecom Solutions announced the commercial launch of EastWind Billing System in SkyLink’s network in the Rostov region.

Rostov-on-Don has become SkyLink’s 15th division to implement EastWind Billing System enabling billing for the whole spectrum of a telecoms operator’s services. Billing unification is a key part of the company’s consolidating operational standards throughout all its points of presence. The company has set up the SkyLink–Regions business unit comprising 27 regional divisions. The consolidation implies a single financial planning and reporting framework to be implemented in all regions of the operator’s presence, as well as uniform technology, rating and product policies, aiming at a more efficient management of the geographically distributed business.

EastWind Billing System is a key product in the vendor’s portfolio. The OSS/BSS solution by EastWind has approved itself on the market, and has been successfully employed by operators of different standards and types in Russia and the CIS to serve the main telecoms problems.
