OREANDA-NEWS. On 26 August 2009 was announced, that at MAKS-2009 air show, Dmytro Kiva, General Designer of ANTONOV ASTC, and Aleksey Isaikin, President of Volga-Dnepr group of companies, signed the Agreement on intensions to promote AN-70T medium transport into the market.

In accordance with this document, Volga-Dnepr group of companies will be the launch customer of the first serial batch of AN-70T aircraft. The parties will realize their intensions to use AN-70T in various international programs.

"Under conditions of hard competition in the European market of medium transports, including A400M and modernized C-130J having the strong political support of the countries-manufacturers, it is necessary to unite efforts of designers, manufacturers and operators of Ukrainian-Russian AN-70 to promote it into European and global markets", -- said Dmytro Kiva, General Designer of ANTONOV ASTC.
