OREANDA-NEWS. On 26 August 2009 was announced, that optimization of budget expenses will not influence construction of new sewage pond “Karabidaik” in Astana, informed Astana akim I. Tasmagambetov.

"This project foresees further development and realization of general plan of our city formation, it is top-priority project, that’s why it will not influence sequestering or optimization of expenses connected with the crisis", - he said to journalists on Tuesday.

Capacity of the functioning sewage pond “Taldykol” commissioned in 1970 with the area of 2010 hectares is 62.5 mln m3. The annual emergency water discharge is 5 mln m3. It caused swamp formation of about 7.5 hectares on the left bank of Astana.

"We must realize classic scheme, and in future life will show how membrane technology or nano technology will allow us to bring disposal of sewage to technical condition when it is possible to use it for irrigation and needs of our energy complex", - said akim.
