OREANDA-NEWS. August 25, 2009. In January-July 2009, net profit of Ukrainian commercial seaports increased by 3.18 times, year-on-year, to UAH 1.127 bln (some USD 141.94 mln). Net profit of the state company Odessa Commercial Sea Port increased by 76.7%, year-on-year, to UAH 240.699 mln, Interfax-Ukraine reports according to Markets&Business.

In the reported period, Sea Commercial Port of Illichivsk increased its net profit 5.24 times to UAH 180.052 mln, Yuzhny port – almost 4-fold to UAH 350.735 mln, Mariupol – 3.19 times to UAH 187.292 mln.
 
In January-July 09 cargo handling in Ukrainian seaports fell by 21.8% to 61.772 million tonnes.
