OREANDA-NEWS. On 24 August 2009 was announced, that leading steel pipe and railway wheel producer Interpipe has provided DK Krestishenskiy gas field with a Q 125 grade casing pipe with a Ukrainian Premium Joint (UPJ) connection which has been successfully lowered into a gas well 3900 meters deep in the Kharkov region in Ukraine.

Interpipe’s Q 125 grade casing pipes have a diameter of 168.3mm and wall thickness of 12.06mm and are produced at Interpipe’s NTRP mill in Dnepropetrovsk. They were first used by Krestishenskiy specialists in a drilling project which required extra formation pressure for the construction of a well.

Fadi Hraibi, Product and Resource Managing Director at Interpipe said: “We are proud to be starting production of our Q 125 grade pipe range and introducing them to the Ukrainian market. These casing pipes are currently undergoing a certification process corresponding to international API 5CT standards which will be completed by the end of September and help us expand into international markets.”
