OREANDA-NEWS. August 21, 2009. Administration of the Leningradskaya region will introduce GLONASS, concluded the participants of the meeting devoted to discussing effectiveness of GLONASS application.

The most prospective sphere here is transport. Some companies in the region have been already using GLONASS successfully for more than a year. According to the managers of these companies, the system helps enhancing logistics security control, decreasing the expences, etc.

GLONASS introduction in the region is planned to be completed in 2011.
