On 21 August 2009 was announced, that there are changes in the Management Board of LSC Shipmanagement Ltd., the daughter company of JSC Latvijas kugnieciba (LASCO - Latvian Shipping Company). Shipping professional Ansis Zeltins has become the new chairman of LSC Shipmanagement Ltd. Management Board. The former chairman Vladimirs Chumachenko will continue as a board member of the company. At the same time Raivis Veckagans LASCO Vice President and Board Member, JSC Preses nams Chairman of the Supervisory Council has resigned from his position as a Member of LSC Shipmanagment Ltd. Management Board. Consequently the number of LSC Shipmanagement Ltd. Management Board remains the same as foreseen in the Statutes and standing orders of the company’s Management Board and it is run by three highly qualified specialists of the branch.

The professional experience of Ansis Zeltins, the new Chairman of LSC Shipmangement Ltd. Management Board, has been closely related to the shipping industry – over the last nine years he has been running the Maritime Administration of Latvia as the Chairman of its Management Board and has participated actively in development of important projects for the industry, like implementation of the European Union and international marine legislation in Latvia and elaboration of other programs of similar importance. Along with the direct professional duties Ansis Zeltins has also been representing the interests of Latvia in internationally known and respectable organizations and fulfills Management Board member’s duties at the European Marine Safety Agency (EMSA).
