OREANDA-NEWS. On 21 August 2009 was announced, that Megabank < MEGA UZ U/R > signed the agreement on financial support with EBRD and German state development bank KfW. According to the agreement, EBRD and KfW will purchase 30% of MEGA for EUR 16mn (EUR 0.11 per share). Additionally, EBRD will provide MEGA with a 5-year loan of EUR 10.4mn, while KfW provides a 7-year subordinated loan of EUR 2.5m to the bank.

Millennium Capital sees the news to be positive for MEGA, since, firstly, the agreed share price is 86% higher than current market price (UAH 0.64 per share). Secondly, additional financing will raise MEGA’s liquidity and provide it’s with a growth possibility.
