OREANDA-NEWS. On August 20, 2009 DTEK, the leading Ukrainian fuel and energy company, announced the appointment of Vyacheslav Kramarenko as Director for Generation and Distribution, reported the press-centre of SCM.
 
Mr Kramarenko joins DTEK from the Russian energy company IES Holding, where he was executive vice-president. He brings to DTEK considerable experience in the energy generation and distribution sectors, having held senior posts at JSC Irkutskenergо and CJSC Integrated Energy Systems prior to joining IES Holding.
 
Mr. Kramarenko will oversee DTEK’s power generation and distribution units , where his primary objective will be to continue to enhance the company’s operating performance and integrate DTEK’s power-generating assets into its wider administrative structure.
 
Commenting on the appointment, DTEK CEO, Maxim Timchenko, said:
“The appointment of Vyacheslav Kramarenko further strengthens the management team at DTEK. Vyacheslav brings extensive experience to the company, gained through his work with companies directly responsible for the pioneering and reformation of the Russian power sector.  I consider him to be one of the most effective managers in our sector, who I am sure will relish the scale and challenge of the task ahead, together with the variety of challenges we face in order to become the leading international power generation and distribution company .”
 
Vyacheslav Kramarenko graduated from Irkutsk state economic academy with a degree in economics in 1998, before continuing his education at the Academy in Russia, where he received the top management degree.  He began his career in at Baikal fund dom as a securities market analyst and was then appointed vice-president for Internal Control and Audit at CJSC Integrated Energy Systems in Moscow. Mr Kramarenko has since occupied the position of the first deputy general director, director for finance and economics of JSC Irkutskenergо and is now working towards a qualification in Thermal Power Plants at Ivanovo State Power University.
