OREANDA-NEWS. August 19, 2009. Azerbaijan International Operating Company (AIOC), consortium operated by BP, fulfilled the plans to transfer in 2009 associated gas volumes extracted at Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) in Azerbaijan’s sector of the Caspian to the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR).

BP Azerbaijan informs that since the beginning of this year we have delivered about 406 million  cubic feet (11.5 million cubic metres) per day of ACG associated gas to SOCAR.

“In 2009, we intended to hand over a minimum of 1.45 billion cu m of associated gas to SOCAR and already exceed this volume, having delivered approx. 2.1 billion cu m in the first half of 2009,” it was informed.

In the first quarter of 2009, approx. 415 million cu m of associated gas per day   (11.75 million cu m) were supplied to SOCAR. In 2008 it was delivered about 204 million standard cubic feet (5.77 million standard cubic metres) per day of ACG associated gas to SOCAR. Overall for the full year 74.6 billion standard cubic feet (2.1 billion cubic metres) of gas was delivered to SOCAR.

AIOC partners are: BP (operator 34.1%), Chevron (10.2%), SOCAR (10%), INPEX (10%), StatoilHydro (8.6%), ExxonMobil (8%), TPAO (6.8%), Devon (5.6%), ITOCHU (3.9%), Hess (2.7%).
