OREANDA-NEWS. On 20 August 2009 was announced, that System Operator ordered to increase electrical loading at the hydro and thermal electric stations of Irkutskenergo due to the emergency at Sayano-Shushenskaya hydro electric station.

Due to the emergency at Sayano-Shushenskaya HES that took place at 4.15 (Moscow time) on 17 August, 2009, and full stop of the hydro electric station, System Operator ordered to increase electric loading at the hydro and thermal electric stations of JSC Irkutskenergo. In particular, Bratsk HES increased its loading from 2,400 MW to 3,700 MW with a normal speed at the period from 9.13.30 till 9.26.10 on 17 August, 2009. At the present moment the total power flow from the facilities of Irkutskenergo to the Krasnoyarsk Territory is 1,300 MW and is transmitted through two 500 kW overhead lines Taishet-Kamala, one of which was urgently lauchned after the planned repair. All thermal and hydro electric facilities of JSC Irkutskenergo work under routine operation.
