OREANDA-NEWS. On 20 August 2009 was announced, that Ingosstrakh IJSC is taking part in the International Air Show MAKS-2009 that is held in Zhukovskiy in the airfield of the Central Research Base of the Gromov Flight Research Institute from August 18-23.

Ingosstrakh’s participation in the air show has become a good tradition for the insurer. Ingosstrakh has been providing a reliable insurance protection to the participants of the show since 1993. Over the period of a long-term cooperation, the specialists of the company developed a few insurance programs that meet the most stringent international standards.

This year, Ingosstrakh IJSC insured for the period of MAKS-2009 the aircrafts Su-30, Su-30 MKI, Su-35, Su-30 MK OAO OKB Sukhogo that take part in the air show.   The amounts insured under hull insurance policies match the price of these aircrafts. Besides, Ingosstrakh insured the third-party liability of the aircraft’s operator. Ingosstrakh IJSC and OAO OKB Sukhogo have successfully cooperated for ten years.

Ingosstrakh has a booth in С2А pavilion that works daily. Here, visitors will be advised on insurance of civil and military aircrafts, as well as on insurance of space risks.

Ingosstrakh IJSC has been working in the area of aviation and space insurance for over 10 years and is a leader of the Russian insurance markets. According to Alexander Podchufarov, Deputy Head of Space and Aviation Risks Insurance Department, regardless of the crisis, in the 1st half of 2009 in this segment of business the company demonstrated better performance results than last year. Insurance premium collected for insurance of space and aviation risks in Ingosstrakh over 6 months of 2009 amounted to RUB 77mln as compared with RUB 624mln in the same period last year (an increase of 24%).  Compensations paid by the company over the first half of 2009 for this type of insurance amounted to RUB 1.6bln. The largest amount was the compensation paid to Kosmicheskaya Svyaz to the amount of RUB 1.1bln for the partial loss of Express-AM2.
