OREANDA-NEWS. On 20 August 2009 was announced, that HeliExpress air taxi, a joint project of UTair Aviation and Russian Helicopter Systems, will carry the guests and participants of the international aerospace salon MAKS 2009 to its venue.

From August 19 till August 23 Heliexpress will perform daily flights from “Crocus Expo” international exhibition center to the traditional venue of the aerospace salon in the town of Zhukovsky near Moscow. A comfortable five-seat helicopter Eurocopter AS 355N will execute the flights. The flights will be performed upon received requests.

This new HeliExpress proposal is devised for the convenience and time saving of the guests and participants of MAX 2009 aerospace salon: it will take only 30 minutes to cover the distance between the suburban town of Zhukovsky and Moscow avoiding traffic jams on the roads. The helicopter taxi fare includes the car transfer to the final destination of the route, the territory where MAX is held.

The HeliExpress taxi project was launched in September 2008. HeliExpress is based in “Vnukovo 3”. At present it is flying between Moscow airports, from “Vnukovo 3” to the cities of Central Federal District, namely Nizhny Novgorod, Vladimir, Kaluga, Tver, Ivanovo and others. In May 2009 HeliExpress was the official carrier at the International HeliRussia Exhibition.
