OREANDA-NEWS. On 20 August 2009 was announced, that the Minsk city administration comes out for extending price-formation powers of directors of enterprises, the chief of Minsl City Administration Business department Alexander Kalinovsky told at a news conference.

“We have prepared a package of documents for the Foreign Ministry and Economy Ministry advising them to give directors more freedom in price formation,” Kalinovsky said.

According to him, it is only possible to sell goods at prices standing below the production cost if they have been in stock for at least seven years.

“No one will allow some state-run companies to trade at a loss. Sooner or later they will ask why products were sold below the production cost,” Kalinovsky said.
