OREANDA-NEWS. August 19, 2009. 215 crews from the agricultural companies of the Gomel oblast have threshed over 1,000 tonnes of grain each since the beginning of the harvest campaign, it was learnt from Nikolai Sadchenko, chairman of the oblast organisation of the Belarusian Trade Union of Agricultural Workers.

For instance, the Lelchitsy, Narovlya and Loyev regions have reached this figure for the first time. According to Nikolai Sadchenko, that was achieved due to an increased number of indigenously-produced combine harvesters KZS-1218 and a good work of agronomists. The average crop capacity in the oblast has increased by 10-15%.
