OREANDA-NEWS. On 19 August 2009 Vyksa Steel Works (VSW, Nizhni Novgorod Region), part of United Metallurgical Company (OMK), reported its operating results for July and the 7 months of 2009.

In July, VSW produced 74,975 tonnes of large-diameter pipes (LDP), which is 27.4% more than in July 2008 (58,848 tonnes). Its LDP output reached 538,637 tonnes from the beginning of 2009, or 28% more than during January–May 2008 (421,380 tonnes).

VSW's total output in July was 117,184 tonnes of pipes of various grades. From the beginning of 2009, VSW manufactured 847,260 tonnes of pipes.

The VSW Wheel Rolling Facility produced 26,674 railroad wheels in July 2009. From the beginning of the year, it produced 243,250 wheels.
