OREANDA-NEWS. On 18 August 2009 was announced, that ОАО “PO “Sevmash” and Nenets Autonomous District have signed a cooperation agreement.

In Naryan-Mar the Head of the Nenets Autonomous District (NAO) Administration, I. Fedorov, and Director General of Sevmash N. Kalistratov signed the agreement concerning cooperation of the Nenets Autonomous District and OAO "PO "Sevmash".

The agreement provides the cooperation in the field of environment protection and rational use of natural resources, culture, education, health, social welfare, tourism, youth policy, social partnership, employment, labour protection, interaction with civil society and mass media institutions. The plan of measures for 2009-2013 for the Agreement implementation was approved simultaneously.

The document should be beneficial to both parties. For example, Sevmash undertakes to ensure designing and manufacturing products and structures of ship- and machine building profile (pontoons, quay walls) for needs of NAO enterprises and organizations as well as goods for the population, and in turn, NAO provides informational and organizational assistance in the implementation of project “Marine Ice-Resistant Stationary Platform “Prirazlomnaya” and assists in experience exchange in the exploitation of oil and gas fields.
