OREANDA-NEWS. On 17 August 2009 was announced, that Ingosstrakh IJSC was named winner of the open tender for insurance of the cultural property of the National Museum of Kuwait that took place in the end of July 2009 in St. Petersburg.

Based on a reliable reinsurance protection, Ingosstrakh offered to the customer - the State Hermitage - the best program both in terms of insurance coverage and cost of services, which allowed to streamline federal budget allocations for the temporary exhibition “Treasure-trove of the world. Jewelery  of India in the age of Great Moguls” that was launched on the 7th of August 2009 in the Concert Hall of the Winter Palace.

Over 400 pieces of jewelery from the age of the Great Moguls are exhibited. They come from the private collection of Sheikh Nasser Sabah al-Ahmad and his spouse. This outstanding collection is a result of a deep passion of the al-Sabahs for the  art of Islam. In 1983 it was transferred for storage to the National Museum of Kuwait.

The exhibits were insured “with liability for all risks”. The insurance coverage includes damage, total loss of all or part of the cultural property for any reason. Pursuant to the Terms of Reference of the tender, the insured amount totaled over USD 400mln.

Currently, Ingosstrakh cooperates with more than 30 large museums of Russia and provides insurance for their cultural property during transportation and exhibitions.
