OREANDA-NEWS. On 14 August 2009 was announced, that according to the results of work for the 1st half-year 2009 Crimea TITAN produced 32 thous. tons of titanium dioxide, 1,7 thous. tons of red iron oxide pigment and 1,0 thous. tons of aluminium sulphate. Titanium dioxide production in the 2nd quarter amounted to 16,7 thous. tons, that was 7,1% more than in the 1st quarter. Herewith Crimea TITAN, performing all contractual obligations, following the results of the 1st half-year 2009 has got a net profit in the amount of UAH 3,2 mil.

Good financial results according to the results of 6 months of work, the enterprise has managed to achieve in spite of negative consequences of the economic crisis and violent price escalation for the natural gas. Herewith gas question solution has become the most burning for Crimea TITAN. Looking back we remind that in January, April and May 2009 Crimea TITAN, in spite of payment in full for the consumed gas, repeatedly suffered interruption in deliveries of gas and had to be down in total more than 30 days.

The present day Crimea TITAN increases production of the main products: current year in June Crimea TITAN produced 8,3 thous. tons of titanium dioxide, in July - 8,9 thous. tons (for comparison, in July 2008 - 7,8 thous. tons TiO2). In August it is planned to perform renewal of mineral fertilizers production, besides maximum capacity utilization for titanium dioxide production.
