OREANDA-NEWS. On 13 August 2009 was announced, that Norwegian bars and restaurants are now offering Baltika №7 Export beer in 0.33 litre bottles. The first batch of this premium Russian beer was dispatched to Norway from the Baltika- St. Petersburg brewery at the end of July.
In Norway Baltika №7 Export is positioned in the super premium segment. An average cost of one 0.33 litre bottle is 60 Norwegian krones (more than 6,5 euro). The innovative design of Baltika №7 bottle with a convenient ring-pull top makes it stand out from the rest of beer brands on Norwegian market. Export deliveries were preceded by a range of tests showing high consumers’ estimates given to Baltika №7 Export for its taste.
Baltika №7 main sales will be concentrated in Oslo, the country’s capital. The Company expects that the majority of Baltika №7 consumers will be people after 25 who are oriented at super premium goods.
Baltika №7 Export is supplied to Norwegian cafes, bars and restaurants. This is due to the local legislation that bans selling production with alcohol content more than 4.7% in shops. Alcohol content of Baltika №7 Export is 5.4%.
The official distributor of Baltika’s beer in Norway is Ringnes A/S, that occupies 52% of Norwegian market, and as well as Baltika Breweries is a part of Carlsberg Group. Ringnes A/S owns four production sites on the territory of Norway that are fitted with the most up-to-date equipment.
