Power Group to Develop Kizhi Island Electric Power Supply
OREANDA-NEWS. August 12, 2009. IDGC of North-West chooses the developer for reconstruction of the Kizhi Island electric power supply scheme reconstruction. Building of two 10 kV underground junctions at the bottom of Onezhskoe Lake to the Kizhi Island is among the measures planned under the project, reported the press-centre of IDGC of North-West.
The contractor for implementation of the project and survey works on reconstruction of the scheme of electric power supply of Kizhi Island (the Republic of Karelia) was determined at IDGC of North-West on a competitive base. “Power Group” CJSC will develop the project.
The project provides for reconstruction of 110/35/10 kV “Velikaya Guba” substation and acting 10 kV overhead line, as well as building of 35 kV overhead cable line, 35/10 kV substation and two 10 kV underground junctions at the bottom of Onezhskoe Lake to the Kizhi Island.
“The designer has been strictly limited as we must start realization of the planned measures in 2010,” said Alexander Zayats, the Head of the Department for Technical Development of IDGC of North-West.
Reconstruction of the scheme of Kizhi Island electric power supply is carried out under the agreement on technical connection of objects of the “Kizhi” State History, Architecture and Ethnography Reserve Museum to electric grids of “Karelenergo”, a branch of the IDGC of North-West.
Financing of the project is carried out in accordance with the Order of the Government of the Russian Federation and is aimed at provision of stable electric power supply of objects of international cultural heritage placed at Kizhi Island.
