On 12 August 2009 was announced, that Rodovid bank < RODB UZ N/R > and Ukrgasbank < UGZB UZ U/R > did not repurchase their B and C, and C series bonds, respectively by the offer on 3 August 2009. The banks explained their decision by the NBU regulation #421 as of 22 July 2009, prohibiting the premature repurchasing of the securities by the banks suffering losses.

As of Millennium Capital, the decision of the banks could be expected since currently banks suffer significant liquidity shortage and mainly direct their outflows on the retail deposits redemptions.
