OREANDA-NEWS. August 10, 2009. OAO TATNEFT has started construction of the trunk pipeline NSP Kaleykino - Nizhnekamsk Refinery. The construction of this pipeline is performed under the project for construction of the refineries and petrochemical plants complex in the city of Nizhnekamsk mostly coordinated by OAO TATNEFT and it is an important part of the infrastructure financed by the Investment Fund of the Russian Federation, reported the press-centre of TATNEFT.

The first joint of 720 mm diameter pipeline was welded on the line route on July 31 though preparatory works had been started even earlier. The order for the facility has been placed by OAO AK Transneft Company and OAO TATNEFT acts as a contractor. The General Contractor of the Construction is OOO Glavneftegazstroyservis Management Company, which controls activities of the subsidiary construction units, which were withdrawn from the structure of TATNEFT to the external service in the course of reorganization a few years ago.

The total length of the pipeline will amount to more than 118 km. The manufacturer has already shipped about 47 km of pipes of the amount required as of now. Currently necessary preparatory ground works are carried out on the pipeline route. About 400 persons and over 250 pieces of construction equipment are involved at the construction site.
