Comstar-UTS Delivered Wireless Internet to Jostovo, Iksha and Yakhroma
OREANDA-NEWS. On 10 August 2009 Comstar – United TeleSystems (JSC Comstar-UTS, LSE: CMST), the leading supplier of integrated telecommunication solutions in Russia and the CIS, announced that the Moscow Region Branch (MRB) of JSC Comstar-UTS has commercially introduced the fixed wireless broadband Internet access network 5.5 GHz in Jostovo, Iksha and Yakhroma, the Moscow’s suburbs.
The MRB’s specialists have installed equipment at the base stations to provide Internet access over dedicated wireless channels with committed data rates up to 27 Mbps. Through wireless access equipment JSC Comstar-UTS is going to provide both individuals and entities in Jоstovo, Iksha and Yakhroma with data transfer and voice information services, as well as channels for access to telematic services, in compliance with licenses issued by Federal Service for Oversight in the sphere of Telecommunications, IT and Mass Communications (Roskomnadzor).
