This year’s harvest campaign in Belarus should be carried out as quickly as possible and with the highest possible quality, President Alexander Lukashenko said today in the Lyakhovichi district during his tour of the Brest Region. The President emphasised the need for a timely harvest of not only grain crops but also flax and potatoes, reported the Official website president.gov.by.

The President underscored the importance of food security for Belarus, which does not only ensure the stability of the national economy but also makes it possible to promote domestic goods in foreign markets.

Alexander Lukashenko has added that the crisis did not affect the national programmes of rural revival and healthcare. ‘This means that we are not going to wind up anything in this respect,’ said the Head of State.
