Delegation from Germany Visited Ust-Luga Port
OREANDA-NEWS. August 07, 2009. A German delegation headed by the Minister-President of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania visited Ust-Luga port at the invitation of Governor of the Leningrad region Serdyukov V. P., reported the press-centre of Ust-Luga port.
The delegation familiarized itself with the work of the railroad-motor ferry complex and the Yug-2 Multipurpose transshipment terminal. The visit involved a discussion of a number of issues of implementation of the project of new motor-car transportation from Germany to Russia via Ust-Luga SMP.
Our information
The Yug-2 MTC is designed for transshipment of rolling machinery, container and general cargoes of various nomenclature. Today the complex is the first and only highly specialized motor car terminal in Russia conforming to the world standards. The first start-up complex of the Yug-2 MTC is designed for transshipment of 100 thousand motor cars per year.
