OREANDA-NEWS. August 06, 2009. The Gov’t will earmark UAH 5.9 million to restore infrastructure of Lviv that was damaged in the result of a storm on August 3, 2009. The Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko informed at the beginning of the session of Government.

She reminded strong wind which swept across Lviv region ruined roofs, damaged electric mains, roads etc.

According to Yulia Tymoshenko, though the natural disaster in Lviv was not of such large-scale as last year in western areas the Gov’t will not leave the city without aid. “Today we will earmark UAH 5.9 million for Lviv to support them and give an opportunity to restore buildings, infrastructure that were ruined in the result of storm,” the Premier emphasized.
