OREANDA-NEWS. On 06 August 2009 was announced, that the President of Belarus has been briefed on the situation with warehouse overstocks and on the progress made by the nation’s leading producers in selling their goods.

On 23 July the President ordered his Administration to keep a constant watch on the situation with warehouse overstocks and on certain production and financial aspects of the activity of the key national manufacturers and food producers.

After the briefing the Head of State once again said that heads of companies bear responsibility for selling their products and that they will face punishment if they embellish their sales reports.

The assessment criterion will be real money transferred for goods sold.

The President ordered the State Control Committee to hold random checks to see whether goods are actually sold and on what payment and delivery terms.

The Administration of the President of the Republic of Belarus will brief the Head of State on the results of the monitoring on a weekly basis.
