OREANDA-NEWS. August 05, 2009. Production output in mining and smelting complex is gradually increasing. The Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko announced on opening a Governmental session.

According to her, the Gov’t supported metallurgic branch in the times of crunch by a special bail-out program. In particular, Yulia Tymoshenko underlined tariffs for railroad transportation had been reduced, price for coke coal significantly cut as well as price for natural gas etc.

The Head of Government emphasized that we can observe the results of the Anti-Crisis Program of the Government. “In the result of our Government’s actions prime price of metallurgic production decreased and with such a price our metallurgists have got an opportunity to enter world markets and only from beginning of second quarter – June and July – prices for Ukrainian semi-processed goods and rolled metal increased by 15-30% on the world markets. It is a significant leap forward,” the Prime Minister emphasized.

Besides, she stressed according to the preliminary data in July against June the amount of production of liquid steel and other metallurgic products increased by 16%.
