Ukraine to Purchase Number of Unfinished Objects into State Property
OREANDA-NEWS. August 05, 2009. The Government is ready to purchase a number of unfinished objects. The Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko disclosed during session of the Cabinet of Ministers.
“On the eve of Builder’s Day we are making a crucial step. We will approve a complex of ordinances on purchase into the state property of uncompleted objects so that afterwards to hand this accommodation over and decrease queues which exist in every region,” Yulia Tymoshenko stressed.
According to her, the Gov’t will allocate UAH 73.5 million to buy housing in Zaporizhzhya, Chernihiv and Bobrovytsya of Chernihiv region, also in Dnipropetrovsk. The Prime Minister emphasized such a program will be acting all around Ukraine. “This is a large-scale program to the tune of UAH 2 billion and it will be fulfilled by the Government in the nearest months. All accommodation objects we will buy are with such level of readiness that they will be put in exploitation by the end of year, that’s such a huge leap, a spurt we will make to support the building branch,” Yulia Tymoshenko explained.
Moreover, she underlined prices at which such objects will be bought are low. So, in Dnipropetrovsk it is USD 415 per square meter, in Chernihiv region – USD 383. The Head of Government noted that housing will be purchased at the price not exceeding USD 500 per square meter.
“Undoubtedly, all speculations on the housing market drop as there is low demand and those objects we are buying into the state property have lowest prices in the country with high quality at that,” the Prime Minister stressed.
She reminded the Gov’t had accumulated in the mortgage institution UAH 2 billion that were envisaged, in particular, for finishing of uncompleted housing.
