OREANDA-NEWS. August 05, 2009. ROSNO’s North-Western Directorate has paid a private individual an insurance compensation of 3,422,045 roubles under the MOD insurance contract for the stolen BMW Х6, reported the press-centre of ROSNO.

This vehicle, manufactured in 2009, was stolen in the afternoon from the parking lot located near the client’s house in Krasnogvardejsky district of St. Petersburg. The vehicle had been insured with ROSNO against damage, fire, and theft. Criminal investigation of this case is under way, and the search procedures have been initiated.

According to the data available to ROSNO’s North-Western Directorate, in the first 6 months of 2009, the following car models and brands were most frequently stolen in St. Petersburg: Mitsubishi Lancer, Honda CR-V, Mitsubishi Outlander and Subaru Forester. During this time period, the Directorate paid its clients over 8 million roubles under the risk "Car theft".
