OREANDA-NEWS. August 04, 2009. In the course of the SME lending support meeting in Krasnodar the Russian Bank for Development hold special consultations on participation in the state-sponsored SME lending support program implemented by RBD, reported the press-centre of RBD.

During the consultations Olesya Teplouhova, Director of SME lending department informed the CEOs of financial institutions and representatives of small and mid-sized business of the region that out of 161 applications for participation in the program – 13 banks represent the Krasnodar Kray. “The processing of the applications is going on but it is already clear that the south of Russia is interested in attraction funds for SME support” – she said.

O.Teplouhova reported that the main target of RBD’s lending support would be small and mid-sized enterprises involved in innovation, manufacture and high-technology industries. According to Mrs. Teplouhova a number of new areas of SME development were created under the program. Among them are leasing arrangements, micro-financing and factoring. “As early as at the stage of ‘pilot transactions’ it became clear for RBD that these unconventional mechanisms are of high topicality. Therefore we shall develop these areas along with those which have already shown by lending through the counter-party banks” – she resumed.
