Moldova’s monetary reserves in 2008 rose by US 338.72 million (25.4 per cent) - to US 1 billion 672.41 million. According to the IMF’s forecasts, Moldova’s monetary reserves will reduce by US 396 million (23.7 per cent) in 2009 and will total US 1 billion 276 million by the end of the year.

According to the Fund’s forecasts, as of the end of 2010, the National Bank’s monetary reserves will total US 1 billion 293 million.
