OREANDA-NEWS. The state airline "Air Moldova" has joined BSP Canada effective August 3, 2009. This will allow all "Air Moldova" customers to purchase tickets for direct and connecting flights of "Air Moldova" on the territory of Canada, reported the press-centre of Air Moldova.

Joining BSP Canada significantly expands "Air Moldova" agent network – from now on tickets for "Air Moldova" flights, as well as for flights of "Air Moldova" partners can be purchased from any of 2500 IATA accredited agencies situated on the territory of Canada including major Canadian cities - Montreal, Toronto, Calgary, Vancouver, Edmonton and Ottawa.

Thanks to special agreements with major world airlines, any Canadian agent will be able to offer connecting flights from major Canadian destinations to Chisinau offering "Air Moldova" passengers attractive prices and most convenient connections via Frankfurt, Prague, Vienna, Domodedovo and other airports.

In the period from May, 2008 to May, 2009 more than 3 000 passengers travelled from Canadian cities to Chisinau connecting in Frankfurt, Prague, Vienna and other airports to "Air Moldova" flights.

Currently "Air Moldova" is a member of BSPs of eleven countries – Canada, France, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Portugal, Romania, Spain and Turkey. "Air Moldova" joined ARC (Airline Reporting Corporation) as of July 13, 2009. This allows all "Air Moldova" customers to purchase tickets for "Air Moldova" direct and connecting flights all over the territory of USA, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands and American Samoa.

"Air Moldova" plans to join BSP Russia until the end of the current year.

"Air Moldova" operates flights to 17 destinations – Frankfurt, Vienna, Bucharest, Istanbul, Lisbon, Madrid, London, Athens, Larnaka, Rome, Milan, Verona, Paris, Prague, Moscow, Sankt-Petersburg and Varna.
