OREANDA-NEWS. On 31 July 2009 was announced, that in July Sibirtelecom OJSC finished construction of a fiber-optic link in the Novosibirsk Region that connected region centres such as Vengerovo, Severnoye and Kyshtovka. The total length of the new optic communication line is 345 km.

Completion of this project will make it possible to increase the quality of intra-zone communication, to provide the general bank for the access to Internet resources and digital television (under the Twist brand) of over 1Gbit/s. along with that, the company will be able to optimize expenses of trunk channel lease (previously some rented radio relay channels were used for that purpose). The communication line is built on the basis of the reliable and approved SDH (Synchronous Digital Hierarchy) technology.
