OREANDA-NEWS. On 30 July 2009 was announced, that Domodedovo airport conducted the last excursion of this season for children from the "Childhood" rehabilitation center. For the time of their visit the young guests of the airport became real passengers, preparing for their flight and going through all the formal procedures before boarding a plane. They asked many questions and found out everything about pre-flight procedures and how you can spend the free time you have before your flight at Domodedovo.

The next step was an "inspection" of Domodedovo Catering Services, the airports main catering facility. Dressed in white coats, the youngsters visited the hot and cold dish production units, where the staff of DSC showed the children how food for airline passengers is prepared, and were even able to taste test the production of Domodedovo Catering Services. The children also visited the confectionary section, which they, ofcourse, liked best of all. At the end of the excursion the youngsters were presented memorable gifts from the airport.

Conducting such events Domodedovo strives not only to show its future passengers how an airport works, how to go through registration procedures, give information about security measures but to also help the children to adapt socially. Excursions are conducted on a regular basis both for young children and for high school pupils.
