OREANDA-NEWS. July 30, 2009. In the framework of the program of corporate assistance of the military units of the Northern Fleet, on the instruction of Director General of Rosatom State Nuclear Energy Corporation Sergey Kiriyenko, a delegation of Rosatom led by the deputy head of the Property Management Department of Rosatom, honorable citizen of Zaozerks, rear admiral S.Kurov, has visited Zaozersk, Murmansk region.

The delegation comprised representatives of Rosatom and the biggest nuclear companies as well as a concert group.

The guests brought assistance for the crew of the Dmitry Donskoy nuclear submarine. The money will be spent on the purchase of a Gazel bus, furniture for the barrack rooms, uniforms and cold-proof shoes. This year, as before, Rosatom will finance the submariners’ summer holidays. 

The commander of the Northern Fleet, vice admiral N.Maksimov pointed out the high importance of the cooperation with Rosatom. He told the guests about the new tasks and achievements of the fleet. On July 26 the delegates attended a parade organized in Murmansk on the occasion of the Day of the Navy. They also met with submariners and visited combat ships. The artists gave a concert at the Zaozersk Officers’ Club.
