Govt of Russia Changed Asset Value for Credit Organizations
OREANDA-NEWS. July 30, 2009. The Government of the Russian Federation adopted No. 591 Decree "On Introducing Amendments to No.335 Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation of 30th May 2007", which amends No.335 Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation of 30th May 2007 "On Establishing Asset Value of Credit Organizations for the Purposes of Antimonopoly Control", reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.
The amendments increase the existing threshold values for preliminary consent and notification of the antimonopoly authority about mergers between or acquisitions of credit organizations as well as transactions with shares (stock), assets and rights in relations to credit organizations.
When No.591 Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation comes into force, preliminary consent of the antimonopoly authority for mergers between or acquisition of credit organizations is required if the total asset value of a credit organization according to the balance sheet as of the last reporting day exceeds 24 billion Rubles (in comparison with earlier requirement of exceeding 14 billion Rubles).
Transactions with shares (stock), assets and rights in relations to credit organizations must be agreed by the antimonopoly authority if according to the last balance the asset value of a credit organization exceeds 6 billion Rubles (in comparison with earlier requirement of exceeding 4 billion Rubles).
