Komsomolets Donbassa Mine Increased Output by 4.3%
OREANDA-NEWS. July 28, 2009. In January-June 2009, ‘Komsomolets Donbassa’ Mine (Kirovskoye town, Donetsk Region) has increased the output of run-of-the-mine coal by 4.3% compared to the similar period of 2008 – up to 1.68m ton, DTEK’s Corporate Communications Department informed UNIAN.
The information message says that currently there are 7 longwalls being worked on, and 7 coal production units operate. Daily workload of each longwall exceeds 1 thou. ton.
UNIAN’s reference. Komsomolets Donbassa Mine is the largest producer of thermal coal with the annual output of over 3 m tons, which totals 4.4% of the general Ukrainian production. The mine has its own coal enrichment complex, ensuring the low ash content in the commercial product. The mine is incorporated into DTEK, the first private vertically integrated energy company of Ukraine.
