OREANDA-NEWS. On 27 July 2009 was announced, that following  the agreements on cooperation signed between  the "Brest" FEZ Administration,  the Society of Economic Relations Development  "Baden-Wurttemberg International" (an economic structure at the Ministry of Economics of Baden-Wurttemberg Land, Germany) and the German-Belarus House (a contact bureau at the Mayoralty of the City of Karlsruhe) and according to the program of work for 2009 within the frames of the above mentioned agreements, the delegation of Brest region and "Brest"FEZ visited Baden-Wurttemberg.

The two-days trip comprised visiting of various German companies interested in cooperation with Brest region, negotiations in the Department of Economic Development of the Mayoralty of Karlsruhe, a meeting in the Ministry of Economics of  Baden-Wurttemberg land and the main event – Economic Forum "The Republic of Belarus as a chance for economy of Baden-Wurttemberg on examples of running German businesses in Brest region and on "Brest" FEZ territory”. The Economic Forum was held on June, 30th in Stuttgart.

The mentioned event was held with support of Brest Region Executive Committee and the Embassy of Belarus in Germany, the basic organizer from the German part was the society "Baden-Wurttеmberg International".

 "Brest" Free Economic Zone  was presented at a plenary session of the Forum, at meetings in the Ministry of Economics of Baden-Wurttemberg land and in the Mayoralty of  Karlsruhe.

Round table discussions and a contact-cooperation bourse were organized as well during the Forum work. About forty German companies representing the most various branches of German economy took part in the event.

German participants of the Forum showed considerable interest to "Brest" Free Economic Zone, to conditions of management in it, to work and survival activity of the enterprise-residents in the period of the economic crisis.
