OREANDA-NEWS. July 27, 2009. The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan  (SOCAR) continues development of its main sea oil field in the Caspian national sector.

The SOCAR reported that works on drilling of №61 well in Guneshli field are continued. The well, which is being drilled from №10 platform, will have depth of 3,500 meters and will reach to Kirmakin formation.

According to geologists’ estimations, its debit will make 40 tons of oil and 300,000 cu m per day.  №90 well with depth of 3,800 meters is also being drilled in the field from №19 platform. It has already drilled to the depth of  2,884 meters to Gala adit level and its debit totaled 400,000 cu m of gas per day.
