OREANDA-NEWS. July 27, 2009. The third international conference Satellite Technology for Railway Transport and exhibition CosmoTrans-2009 starts in the building of Rizhsky Station in Moscow on Monday, July 27.

Russian Federal Space Agency supports organization the conference and the exhibition by Russian Railroads. Roscosmos Deputy Head Anatoly Shilov will make a presentation during the conference.

The conference is arranged to share Russian and world experience in GLONASS/GPS promotional projects, brand new technologies in safety, intellectual transport monitoring systems.

Along with the development of new technologies of processing, storage, interpretation and use of space data, it has become possible to expand the range and scale of problems solved by means of modern satellite technologies for the benefit of rail transport as well.

The Third International Scientific and Practical Conference Satellite Technology for Rail Transportor is arranged to provide fruitful discussion of the opportunities of satellite technology application, efficient introduction of innovations in transportation.
