OREANDA-NEWS. July 27, 2009. Tambov urban transport is equipped with GLONASS/GPS solutions of M2M telematica. Company`s BusinessNavigator® including M2M-CityBus logistics control system are introduced in the city, thus providing more accurate organization of the transporting process.

Tambov Central Dispatcher Service (CDS) monitors: 92 passenger transport vehicles, 22 first aid vehicles, 2 vehicles of the CDS, 2 vehicles of the urban emergency rescue service, 102 vehicles of the urban road service directorate.

Navigational equipment will be installed on 300 more vehicles in the nearest future to finalize the third stage of GLONASS inrtoduction process in the city. M2M-CityBus harware and software system used to monitor and control passenger transport provides long-term planning and real-time control opportunities.

According to the city mayor Piotr Chernovainov, interaction with transport and logistics companies is very important in the project, in order to install the navigational sensors on all the buses and maintain centralized dispatcher monitoring.

An educational workshop was organized for the managers of the transport companies and drivers.
