OREANDA-NEWS. July 23, 2009. The Ministry of Communications & Information Technologies of Azerbaijan expects adoption of e-Azerbaijan program for 2008-12.

Deputy communication minister Elmir Velizadeh says that the program is in fact at last stage of its passing.

“The program is now at last stage of consideration of the Cabinet Ministers. Its adoption in the near future is expected,” he said.

The program will continue the one that was valid until the end of 2008. The new program will stipulate full realization of ICT sector potential with its bringing to leader position (along with oil and gas sector) in Azerbaijani economy and covers period of 2009-12.
